Plain-language summary: Confluence is an early-stage (MVP) product built and operated by one person. Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, who is the merchant of record for every purchase — meaning your transaction is legally with them, not with me directly. This page explains what that means, what data the app handles, and how refunds work.

Terms of Service

1. What Confluence is

Confluence is a web-based tool that helps freelancers and solopreneurs track income and expenses across multiple sources (such as Stripe, PayPal, Upwork, and Gumroad) and calculates net profit. It is provided by an individual operator, not a registered company, currently operating from Egypt.

2. Who you're buying from

When you subscribe to Confluence, your purchase is processed by Lemon Squeezy.com Inc, who acts as our order processor and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy is an authorized reseller of Confluence and handles the transaction, billing, and applicable sales tax on our behalf. Their Buyer Terms and Conditions govern the purchase itself.

3. Subscription & billing

Confluence is billed at $10/month, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Your card is charged automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel first.
Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time — access continues until the end of the paid period.

4. Service availability (MVP stage)

Confluence is an early-stage product under active development. Features, pricing, and functionality may change. The service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime, and I make no warranty that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Confluence for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to disrupt the service, or to misrepresent your identity when creating an account.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Confluence and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including financial decisions made based on data shown in the app.

Privacy Policy

1. What data I collect

Billing information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (email, payment method). I never see or store your card details.
Your financial data (income/expense entries) — stored securely in Confluence's database (via Supabase), tied to your account. It's private to you: only your signed-in account can access it, enforced at the database level. It persists across sessions and devices — you'll see the same data whenever you sign back in with your email.
Account access — sign-in uses passwordless email links ("magic links"). I don't store or see a password. Your subscription status is checked against Lemon Squeezy's records to confirm access.
Email address — if you join the mailing list on the landing page, your email is stored via Formspree, a third-party form service, solely to send you occasional product updates. This is separate from your account email.

2. How your data is used

Billing data is used only to process your subscription. Your income/expense entries are used only to show you your own dashboard — I don't access, analyze, or share individual account data. Mailing list emails are used only to send you updates about Confluence — never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.

3. Third parties involved

Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and billing (Merchant of Record)
Supabase — database hosting and authentication for your account and financial data
Formspree — email collection for the waitlist form
Netlify — website hosting

4. Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting me — this permanently removes your income/expense entries from the database. You can also request deletion of your email from the mailing list separately. Billing data deletion requests should go through Lemon Squeezy directly, as they control that data.

How refunds work

Because Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all Confluence purchases, refunds are handled directly by Lemon Squeezy, following their standard refund process.

To request a refund

Look up your order at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders using the email you purchased with, or
Contact me directly at hemapyro11@gmail.com and I'll help coordinate the request with Lemon Squeezy.

Cancelling your trial or subscription

You can cancel anytime before your trial ends to avoid being charged, or cancel an active subscription to stop future renewals — you'll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
